Mother’s Day Brunch at Hotel Galvez
Mother’s Day Brunch is a family tradition, and for more than 100 years, many families have made Mother’s Day extra special by celebrating with brunch at the historic Hotel Galvez. You are invited to join in this tradition of celebrating Mom in style.
This year, Mother’s Day Brunch will offer seating times at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and a final seating at 3:30 p.m. If you are interested in a specific seating time, make your reservations now by calling Hotel Galvez at (409) 765-7721.
While the hotel honors Mothers with a complimentary rose, this does not excuse you from a thoughtful gift. Looking for something unique? Hotel Galvez: Queen of the Gulf, a book detailing the history and offering a pictorial view of the hotel, is available through the Gift Shop. The entire family can sign the book during brunch each year and you’ll have memories to last a lifetime, not to mention a creative family heirloom like nothing anyone has ever seen. (Hint: If you contact the hotel they can sell and ship it to you ahead of time)
Mother’s Day Brunch is larger and more elaborate than the hotel’s standard Sunday Brunch, served weekly from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Traditional offerings, like Herb Crusted Prime Rib and Roasted Smoked Ham, along with special menu items such as Rosemary and Garlic Roasted Leg of Lamb. Keep an eye out for the Roasted Poblano Gazpacho, Champagne Poached Shrimp, Snow Crab Clusters, Gulf Oysters, and Pan Fried Grouper with Charred Pineapple Relish.
Executive Chef Antonio Galan will also serve Strip Loin with Brandy and Mushrooms Demi, Roasted Chicken Oscar, Horseradish Whipped Potatoes and Roasted Vegetables as his Mother’s Day Favorites. As always, guests will enjoy a pasta bar and made to order omelet station in addition to a selection of starters, salads, entrees and side dishes. Desserts will be found in the Terrace Ballroom and will include a Bananas Foster station and other favorites.
Mother’s Day Brunch is $59 for adults; $53 for seniors; and $35 for children ages 6-11. Children under 6 are complimentary. The price includes champagne, mimosas, or red or white house wine.
