So, if you are a fan of Craft Beer make your way to The Tremont House on Tuesday, April 7. In celebration of National Beer Day, The Tremont House is hosting a Pint Night with Galveston Island Brewing at the 1888 Toujouse Bar. Owner and Head Brewer Mark Dell’Osso will be on hand to talk about his locally brewed craft beer. And, here’s the bonus, bar patrons who purchase one of his three craft brews on tap at the bar will receive a complimentary Galveston Island Brewing pint glass (while supplies last).
The Tremont House is the first Galveston hotel to carry Galveston Island Brewing on tap and currently offers Tiki Wheat, Nightfall and Excelsior IPA.
Tiki Wheat is GIB’s flagship with half wheat and half barley paired with coriander and notes of honey sweetness.
Nightfall offers strong flavors of chocolate and hints of roast from various dark barley malts for this Dark Ale.
Hops: Goldings, Willamette, Fuggles
Excelsior offers and abundance of citrus and fruit flavors from the use of Pacific Northwest hop varieties.
Hops: Cascade, Simcoe, Amarilla
The Tremont House is also partnering with Dell’Osso on a “Craft Beer 101” Weekend June 5-7. As part of a weekend overnight package, guests will enjoy an introduction to craft beer, brewery tour and beer dinner. For details, call 409.763.0300 or visit www.thetremonthouse.com.
