In 1962, leaders at the "The World's Greatest Philanthropy," recognized the need for a pediatric burn facility where children could be treated no matter their financial circumstances. Families could be healed, healers could be taught to research new and better methods of treatment.

Galveston Island is proud to play host to this amazing organization and to have had a role in changing countless lives over the past fifty years.
