If you want to skip the beach this Labor Day Weekend, we have a suggestion -purchase tickets to the Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival in Galveston. USA Today, Houstonia Magazine and Thrillist rate it as the top or one of the top beer festivals in the U.S. So if you love or even just like craft beer this is “not to miss.”
What to know…
When: The Craft Beer Festival is Aug. 31 through Sept. 2 at Moody Gardens Convention Center, One Hope Blvd.
On Friday evening, enjoy a Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday is the BrewHaHa VIP Lounge at 2 p.m. and the BrewHaHa Grand Tasting from 3 to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday is host to the Brew B-Que from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Tickets: Tickets range from $23 for Brew B-Que to $135 for The Big Hopper (two-day pass) and $165 for The Weekender (three-day pass).
If this is your first time attending, we recommend general admission tickets to the BrewHaHa Grand Tasting for $35 on Saturday, Sept. 1. The BrewHaHa features more than 400 international and Texas craft beers and is from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

-Access to seminars and seminar merchandise/gifts on a first-come, first-given basis
-NEW THIS YEAR, the Texas Brewery Tasting Tour is now part of the main floor of the BrewHaHa Grand Tasting general area.
Tip: They also sell tickets for designated drivers.
Tickets are also sold at the door but they typically sell out really quick. We say purchase in advance so you don’t walk away disappointed and thirsty.
Remember this is a tasting folks. Not a binge drinking college party so, please, pace yourself.
Other Tips: This event is for adults only and you must be over 21 to attend. Also, not pets are allowed with the exception of service animals.
Transportation: You can easily take advantage of the City’s Trolley just keep in mind it make several stops before reaching Moody Gardens so plan ahead. The cost is $1 per person (exact cash only).
Since it is a holiday weekend, you should definitely plan to book your room in advance. Have a safe and fun holiday weekend!
