The 106-year-old Hotel Galvez & Spa in Galveston has been through a few hurricanes and only had minor issues due to Hurricane Harvey. As the region recovers, hotel staff came up with an idea to do its part to support Harvey relief efforts – a prime rib dinner special.
As part of a “Galvez Gives Back” effort, the public is invited to “savor prime rib and dine for charity” this month at Galvez Bar and Grill. The hotel’s Prime Rib Dinner Special is $22 per person - which is a great deal. Hotel Galvez & Spa will donate $5 of each prime rib meal sold to Harvey relief efforts. This special is available Thursdays through Sundays beginning Sept. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 29.
The dinner special offers a 10 oz. prime rib served with grilled seasonal vegetables, gorgonzola scalloped potatoes, cornbread muffins, and tea or coffee. And, let me say this is one of the most popular items at Sunday Brunch. I recommend adding a little horseradish – if you dare.
Reservations are available through Open Table or by calling (409) 765-7721.
Travel Tip: Valet is parking is complimentary when dining at the restaurant. Ask the hostess to validate your ticket.
By the way, if you are a guest at The Tremont House or Harbor House, ask about the courtesy shuttle if you aren’t in the mood to drive over. You can also hop on the Galveston Trolley for $1 per person. Exact change is required.
This is just one more reason to book your getaway to Galveston.
