Six Fun Ways To See Galveston

During your first visit to a new city it’s always a good idea to get acclimated. Lucky for you there are several fun ways to see Galveston and learn the lay of the island.
 
Galveston Trolley – The City of Galveston resumed its trolley operations in June and is offering free rides this summer. Trolleys run daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and include seven stops downtown and a ride on 25th Street where riders may transfer to the Seawall Trolley. Segway ToursSegCity Galveston, 519 25th Street, offers a variety of tour options ranging from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours. Participants also have the option to rent a GoPro to record their tour. The website provides a detailed description of the tours and current pricing.
Cool ToursCool Tours operates daily and offers a one-hour historic tour and a 2.5 hour historic/dolphin combo tour. The historic tours provides a historic overview of Galveston and points out various attractions of interest to visitors.
Duck Tours Galveston Duck Tours provides a land and water sightseeing tour of Galveston. The tour starts on the Seawall then takes guests on a 15-minute tour in Offatts Bayou. Once it returns on land, the tour continues past Galveston’s historic homes and Strand District.
Helicopter Tours Galveston Helicopter Tours is an exhilarating way to see Galveston. Tours range from $50 for a beach tour to $150 for a 20-minuted “Around the Island” tour and $175 for a 25-minute sunset tour. Your friends will be jealous.
Bike Rentals Island Bicycle, 1808 Seawall Blvd., offers daily bike and surrey rentals. The shop offers a huge selection of bikes and visitors can call in advance to reserve their bikes.

Golf Cart Rental – If you plan in advance, Coastal Cruizers Custom Carts, offer golf cart rentals. Reservations should be made a few months in advance during peak season.
 
All of these options offer guests a fun way to see Galveston and plan out their tour itinerary.
