A Galveston Travel Guide for Millennials

With this in mind, we’re offering a contemporary travel guide for our millennial guests. First, we suggest selecting a hotel. Want to stay in the historic Strand district? Check into The Tremont House in the Strand. Indulge in luxury amenities and discover some of the best views of downtown from The Rooftop Bar. For a stay at the beach, you can’t beat Hotel Galvez & Spa, with their fascinating history and renowned Sunday brunch. For breathtaking views of the harbor, we recommend the Harbor House Hotel & Marina, just steps from Pier 21.

After settling in, go exploring! Hop on a Segway from SegCity, or climb aboard the Galveston Island Trolley for an interesting and educational tour. If you want to take a guided bike tour, check out Zipp E-bikes. For an ecologically fascinating and thoroughly immersive experience, check out Moody Gardens, featuring everything from penguins and seals at the Aquarium pyramid to the Rainforest pyramid, with an indoor rainforest, state-of-the-art 3D and 4D theaters, and interactive exhibits. Be sure to explore the historic Strand District with its eclectic collection of shops, galleries, and cafes. Lastly, don’t leave town without a visit to Galveston Island Brewing. This largest brewery in Galveston features homemade brews served up in a taproom with a copper bar and live entertainment.
