A Three-Day Itinerary for Water Lovers

First, reserve your stay mere steps away from the water at either Hotel Galvez & Spa or the Harbor House Hotel & Marina. Hotel Galvez overlooks the beachfront while Harbor House is on the harborside of Galveston. Both offer easy access to nearby attractions. After checking in, treat yourself to a fun cruise and voyage of discovery on the Galveston-Port Bolivar Ferry. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, the ferry is free to ride and offers a scenic way to explore the area and catch a brilliant sunrise or sunset. You’ll also see delightful leaping dolphins, ships, and flocks of seagulls which you can feed.

Next, head out for dinner at one of Pier 21’s many restaurants before getting a good night’s sleep. On your second day, check out the Schlitterbahn Water Park, which features the new Infinity Racers Mat Slide, along with other exciting slides, coasters, wave pools and lazy rivers. They also offer a kid’s area, a swim-up bar, and on-site food and drink. Lastly, indulge yourself with Hotel Galvez & Spa’s famous Sunday brunch before returning to Pier 21 for an incredible Baywatch Dolphin Tour, sunset tour on Cruise-N-Time or trip aboard the Seagull II All of these tours offer a wonderful opportunity to watch these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
