A Very Merry Grand Holiday

Christmas classics return to Galveston this holiday at The Grand 1984 Opera House. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, this venue is home to not only hundreds of shows a year, but it is part of Galveston’s culture.

This year, Ebenezer Scrooge returns to the city in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, premiering December 3 at 8 p.m. This newer rendition of the production comes with musical and dance numbers along with a more humorous tone. If you can’t make it on opening night, there is another show December 4 at 3 p.m. On December 11 and 12, choose between three showtimes as another classic returns to The Grand when City Ballet of Houston presents The Nutcracker.

Although it is not holiday-related, the iconic group, The Temptations, also invites you to groove to classic Motown tunes on December 17 and 18.
