Festival Season is Near; Galveston’s Spring & Summer Calendar
If you find yourself traveling to Galveston this spring or summer, make sure to set aside some vacation time to dive into the community and attend a festival. Here are our top three suggestions!
The annual Galveston Island Featherfest Birding & Nature Photography Festival will be making its way to town April 21-April 24th. If you are a casual bird watcher, or just admire our feathered friends, come out to support the latest and greatest in bird photography, and choose from multiple events on multiple days to attend. Unlike most festivals, you pay per event at FeatherFest. A full itinerary can be found online, as well as accommodation recommendations.
Turn your vacation by the coast into a sail on the open sea! It’s time to renew your passport and amp up your vacation. Head to the Galveston Port and hop on the Carnival Breeze’s inaugural Rock the Coast “Texas Country at Sea” sail to Yucatan (Progreso) & Cozumel, Mexico. The fun will be from April 30th- May 5th, where you will surely experience the vacation of a lifetime. Imagine yourself with a drink in hand by the pool, accompanied by the sounds of country artists like Pat Green, Kristen Kelly, and Ty Herndon. A full list of what your trip entails is online, and you are going to want to book now!
Although current details are not fully out yet, the annual Galveston Island Wine Festival will be returning this August just in time for your end-of-summer vacation. Gather the crew to enjoy the finest blends in the city as you explore your way through town. Past tasting locations include Hotel Galvez, Saengerfest Park, and the popular Beerfoot Brewery.
