Five Things You’ll Love at Yaga’s Chili Quest & Beer Fest

This is the festival’s 11th annual event in Galveston’s historic Strand District, and this year will feature the Chili Quest along with an indoor Beer Fest at the famous Trumpets building. In addition to tempting your taste buds with a variety of awesome chili and craft brews, here are three more reasons to come out and play.

  • Check out the wildly entertaining Beerfooter 5K Fun Run and Walk. Outrageously-costumed contestants and team uniforms are strongly encouraged, so don your craziest duds, or just cheer on your favorite Beerfooters from the sidelines.
  • Saengerfest Park will be transformed into Margaritaville, with live music and the Jackpot Margarita Contest. Be sure to stick around for the official awards ceremony, and don’t forget to sign up for the washer-pitching tournament.
  • Browsing on the Strand Merchant Walkabout is a must-do. Here you’ll find hand-crafted goods, jewelry, and more from a variety of vendors along the way.

Make the most of your visit by staying at The Tremont House in downtown Galveston. For a stunning view of the harbor, you’ll want to check into Harbor House Hotel & Marina at Pier 21. If you prefer the best in historic beachfront accommodations, we recommend Hotel Galvez & Spa.
