Guide to Galveston’s Best Craft Beer

Galveston Island Brewing is a great first stop for your craft beer tour. It is the only full-production craft brewery in the area, with a myriad of brews served up in a taproom with a copper bar and live entertainment. Snacks are available, plus games and root beer for the kids. And, as an added bonus, Galveston Island Brewery is only the block from the beach.

Next, head over to the Strand for a visit to Brews Brothers, Galveston. Along with the craft beer, you’ll also find fine wine and cigars, along with terrific pub food. Nearby, you will find Stuttgarden Tavern. Noted as one of the "15 Best Places for Beer in Galveston," they offer forty beer tags and a full liquor selection. Take in scenic views from the rooftop bar and patio or kick back in their large indoor beer hall. Another fantastic stop on your downtown leg is Devil and the Deep Brewery, located right on 25th Street. This taproom is known to host a diverse selection of events, from comedy shows to science lectures.

Finally, for Gulf views and good times, head over to Beerfoot Brewery on 28th and Seawall. You’ll have a selection of thirty-three craft beers on draft and over 100 bottles and cans.
