Top Tips for a Galveston Beach Day

Dogs are always welcome at Stewart Beach, just be sure to bring a leash, waste-disposal bags, and plenty of fresh water and food for your four-legged friends. Pack plenty of drinks and your favorite foods to snack on and grill, designated barbecue pits are available for use. Visitors are also welcome to bring surfboards, kayaks, and fishing gear to the recreation area, but dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, and ATVs are prohibited, as they can damage the fragile sand dunes.

Many visitors love Stewart Beach because of its close proximity to Galveston’s Pleasure Pier and all the après-beach fun. When selecting accommodations for your visit, we suggest the Harbor House Hotel & Marina for breathtaking views of the harbor.
